I feel that this film will have even more resonance for Indians. Well, I thought it was a really good film. ...Hmm. Well, I thought it was a really good film. I'd read the book first and enjoyed it very much. The film might not have been as strong a narrative, but it evoked some wonderful feelings.<br /><br />I don't remember the sex scenes feeling staged. I thought the relationships between the characters were believable and touching. I thought Tabu did a damned good job. I had not realized she is that old. And I loved Penn and Khan.<br /><br />This was the first movie I saw with Indian actors, and I was impressed. I screened it for some relatives who were prejudiced toward Indians, and by the time it was over, their attitudes had changed dramatically.
